Envise, a building systems integrator uniting building automation, mechanical service, and analytics was recently awarded The Portland Building Reconstruction Project, an office space and underground parking structure for City of Portland employees. In addition to Envise, the project team consists of Howard S Wright, TCM, General Sheet Metal, Oregon Electric Construction, and Pacific Architects and Engineers.
Envise’s scope for the 360,000 square foot facility includes designing, supplying, and installing a new controls system, as well as help the client design new graphical front-end interface and energy dashboards. The dashboards will allow the occupant to share information about energy usage to support the city’s Climate Action Plan. The plan includes details on reducing local carbon emissions by 80 percent from 1990 to 2050 while meeting an interim goal of 40 percent by 2030.
The project’s design phase is currently underway, with construction expected to begin in January 2018. Overall project completion, is anticipated for 2020.
