Temecula Valley Hospital
Temecula Valley Hospital is a 178,000 square foot community healthcare and medical center located in Temecula, California. Envise focused on the design, programming, commissioning, and installation of a new building automation system for the facility, which includes 140 patient rooms, 28 treatment rooms, an intensive care unit, and several surgical suites.
With the project requiring an aggressive schedule to meet the needs of a fast-growing city, Envise used a variety of collaboration tactics, like detecting issues before installation, to stay on track. In addition, the project team was challenged with eliminating operational costs by making the design for the end users more efficient.
The effort was part of a larger integrated project delivery new construction project utilizing an integrated form of agreement, lean construction techniques, and pull planning methods. As all members of the project team had an equal share and investment in the project, Envise collaborated with other trade partners to gain a clear understanding of project expectations and goals early on. This process enabled the owner to become highly involved in the design process, making it easier to create and implement building automation system designs based on their specific needs.
Overall, Envise delivered a building automation system solution that is easy to maintain and helps the hospital’s facility managers monitor and reduce energy consumption. Having focused on the needs of the client and a long-term customer relationship, Envise continues to serve Temecula Valley Hospital through a maintenance agreement.
